In 2024, my health unexpectedly became a central part of my life. After two surgeries and a hospital stay, I was told that I would enter menopause earlier than expected.
Those words stayed with me. Not because anything was wrong at that moment, but because I realised how little I knew about what might lie ahead.
So I started looking for answers. I wanted to understand what happens in the body during perimenopause. What I found was a lot of information. But it was fragmented, difficult to navigate, and often focused on what to do once symptoms had already taken over.
I started wondering: why do we only start looking for answers when we are already struggling?
So I began talking to women. More than fifty women between the ages of 35 and 65 shared their experiences with me. Their stories were different, but one sentence came up again and again: “I wish I had known this earlier.”
About sleep and energy. About concentration and a body that feels different. About not always feeling seen. And above all, about the need for more direction and reliable information.
That’s where Séptember began.
I wanted to create a starting point for women who want to understand what is changing, prepare for what’s ahead, and know where to turn with their questions. With education at its core, practical support, and plant-based products designed for this stage of life.
Perimenopause is not a problem you need to fix. It is a natural transition in life. But you don’t have to go through it unprepared or alone.
That’s why Séptember exists.
